Future AI girl travels back to 1839 and plays in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Hong Kong Theatre Works invites renowned campus writer to star in the adaptation of the novel Super-D Detective W - The Magical Crystal Ball, which is popular among teenage readers, into a stage play.
This is an innovative children's drama that features both live actors and puppets on stage, filled with vibrant colors and creativity like a rainbow.
The story follows an AI girl from the future who travels back in time to nineteenth-century Hong Kong on a 'source correction mission' to prevent a catastrophe for humanity. She aims to investigate a case involving 99 ghosts who fell into a coma and must stop a fantastical force from reaching Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. Along the way, she encounters a boy named W who is projecting a player's shadow puppet. W supports the future girl and launches a super-temporal detection operation.
It is a story about growth, faith, courage, and love, involving historical figures such as Lin Weixi and Hong Kong's honest Tsim Sha Tsui Village. It also includes a search for children who have lost their crystal balls, as well as a pitiful witch and her scarecrow minions.
